The Girl Scout Uniform:Since the early days, the Girl Scouts has been a uniformed orgainzation. Today that tradition continues, with the uniform representing Girl Scouting's trusted relationship between outward appearance and inward strengths and ideals. The uniform symbolized that the Girl Scouts is a worldwide organization devoted to the development of girls and represents the following values:

Commitment to developing knowledge and skills, and a sense of worth.

Appreciation of and respect for racial, ethnic, economic, religious, and geographic diverstiy.

Continuing to focus on personal and social development, personal responsibility, civic service and leadership.

Partnership of youth and adults in a worldwide movement.

Active regard of people and places in need.
